FAQs

This question can be quite complex, as our schedules vary based on service requests and change daily or weekly. However, we pride ourselves on being flexible!
For part-time positions, your primary hours will fall on weekends, specifically from Friday evening to Sunday evening.
For full-time roles, hours will encompass both weekends and then midday on weekdays. However, if a client is on vacation, weekday hours could mirror the weekend schedule.
With my software I have created 4 time slots which clients can schedule within-
Early Morning- 6am-8am
Midday- 11am-1:30pm
Late Afternoon- 4pm-5:30pm
Bedtime- 8pm-9:30pm
Very rarely would you do visits outside of these times. -
Communication is one of our key responsibilities; we message clients during every visit and stay in touch with one another regarding pet information updates, inquiries, and scheduling matters.
Caring for pets is a given! While our main focus is on dogs and cats, we also have experience caring for horses, chickens, reptiles, and bunnies!
Our primary responsibilities during visits include feeding, cuddling, refilling water bowls, playing both indoors and outdoors, cleaning litter boxes and performing light cleaning.
Maintaining organization and keeping track of your schedule, availability, and the services you are responsible for is also a top priority.
Dog walking plays a significant role in our business, so it's essential to be able to physically walk 1-2 dogs for 10-30 minutes.

This is an entry-level position in the field of animal care. While more experience is advantageous, qualities such as having pets, working in kennels, shadowing veterinarians, aspiring to enter Vet Med, or simply having a deep love for animals are all valuable attributes.
I will be providing training for several weeks or months to ensure you feel knowledgeable and confident in your role. Additionally, you will accompany me as we meet each pet and learn about their individual routines and quirks!

You will be classified as a 1099 employee. Your compensation will be determined by a percentage of each visit. During one-on-one training you will earn 50%, which will increase to 60% post-training, with the possibility of further increases over time, reaching as much as 80%. The pay scale will be detailed in your contract, including further specifics.
We are pleased to inform you that even at 50%, your earnings will exceed minimum wage per hour!
We do receive tips and holiday pay for major holidays.
